Mesmerizing lyrics and vocal melodies take hold.Twinkling synths and hypnotizing baseline lead the listener into a 80’s feeling R&b daydream. Although the vocals are almost sedcuctive, the song lyrics are inspired by “Goodnight and Go” by Imogean Heap. Its an intimate, sensual, love song with a dark undertone. Its the fantasy of being obsessed with someone who isn’t yours. Goodnight and Go is a love song you think is innocent until you realize she’s actually obsessed with the person. You question if they’ve ever been together at all. I love a song with a weird twist to it, so I wanted to write something with that concept. A love song gone sour when someone has an unhealthy infatuation. I also wanted it to be a song illusive to gender. I wanted to tell the story of someone being obsessed with someone who they for some reason couldnt have. If you’ve heard a song “talking in your sleep” from my last album, you’ll know I love writing a good story about emotion making someone act wild.
