My partner once asked my what my definition of success is, he asked if I got everything I wanted would I really be happy. I thought of all my current goals and I honestly couldnt answer yes. This song is from the perspective of if we achieved one of our goals, touring the world. I picture us in Cairo (or some international destination), young 20 somethings, making money, falling in love all over again, partying on rooftops in new clothes and bottles of champagne but still feeling broken. Its the concept of after all this work we’ve put in we still feel like its not enough. Although its a vision of us in our dreams, it also speaks on the subject of struggle. We work so hard all the time to make it, we just want to make it and be rich and famous or whatever but then after we get it its still sh*t. We just have to re evaluate what makes us happy and what we deem as success.

But that’s like one side of the song, its also just a song dedicated to my generation.
The reoccurring historic theme of youth frustration that takes on new personality with each generation. Its an admittance that we are young and already we are tired. Tired of being under-appreciated, underpaid, misunderstood and not taken seriously. So many of us are unhappy no matter our background or fortunes. So many of us feel we work so hard just to not get what we have earned. We are held to such an unrealistic standards of a society that has evolved past existence of "what it used to be". So what do we do? Just about anything to distract us from our frustration, either burying our heads in ambition or letting loose and not giving a sh*t. With a world that makes so many things accessible, my generation is incredibly innovative. And we are ambitious in a world that needs so much work. This song is a realistic appreciation of young people. We deal with alot with no sympathy and we persevere, half the time fighting with our own minds to keep going at such young ages. This song is about being young with ambition and taking advantage of fun where we can find it. We definitely are a fun generation of easy going entrepreneurs.
